93 year old WWll Vet

My daughter, granddaughter & her boyfriend took my 93 year old dad to see his 1st time ever attendance to see his beloved Cleveland Browns play even though he has been a loyal fan since the team first played back in the 50s I believe. My dad took care of my mother for 62 years and couldn't get to any Browns games as he had to take care of my mom who had serious health issues most of her 90 years of life. He never missed a game even if he could only listen to it on the radio and later watch it on TV. He broke his back 4 years ago and his beloved wife had to spend her last 5 years in a nursing home with advanced Dementia, while he came to live with my husband and I. My daughter decided it was time her grandpa got to see his beloved Browns play in person. They had a wonderful time and a lot of fans thanked my dad for his service to our country. He had his beautiful WWll veterans cap on that day plus one of his many Cleveland shirts. He has gotten many Cleveland sports shirts, jackets and caps over the years and loves them all. My daughter surprised him with the tickets the week before the game and was he shocked and delighted. It was a little difficult as my dad uses a walker to get around but that day he was embarrassed as he really needed his travel chair. But it was a thrill for him even though due to his being in a wheelchair had to set up in the disability section and couldn't really make out the players. He will always remember that Sunday and cherish his very 1st game/

It Wasn't Pretty But We'll Take It!!

Steelers didn't play real well but still won. Cleveland always plays Pittsburgh tough in their stadium. Nice place to be but maybe I'm a "little" biased . . . Heinz Field is much better!!! The only thing I didn't like was the man sitting on the end of the row from me was a total douche bag!! Already had a chip on his shoulder, hated the Steelers which I can understand but hated ALL their fans??!! Said he was a police officer but when he was confronted by security, all he said was he worked in the sheriff's department! Hmmm, which is it? A wannabe, just simply a wannabe!! Unfortunately, his girl friend was as polite as she could be. Must be afraid of him!!
